目前整个包括约240位成员的ECO Team，志在凭借个人的英语能力，翻译The Economist杂志的精品文章，通过集体的努力传播整个Team 认可的TE杂志的核心理念——中立，公正，简单，精确。成员来自五湖四海，金融，工程，IT，教育，不乏各个行业的精英。经过两年多的经营和Team诸位成员无私的奉献，论坛一直保持稳步上升的势头，出品的译文更是有口皆碑。我们可以肯定和骄傲的说，在目前中国，我们ECO Team集中着最顶级的草根（非专业）英语译者。（当然团队中也有相当一部分职业翻译）。我们的目标是成为出品中国新闻时评类文章翻译界最权威，最准确，最完美的译文的团队。Yes. We can.

3. 什么样的人可以加入我们？——加入ECO Team的资格
ECO Team汇聚精英，显然，加入的门槛不低。首先，由于我们是英语翻译论坛，我们需要你懂英语。无论你是高中，四级，六级，专业四级，专业八级，IELTS,TOEFL,GMAT,GRE,LSAT，ECO Team一视同仁。只要你对自己有信心或者有强烈的提高自己的愿望，我们都欢迎。但是丑话说在前头，翻译TE文章并不容易。也许你英文很强，但是却无法用流畅的中文表达，笔者劝你不要低估团队工作的难度；也许你词汇量丰富，但是也许理解文意上有偏差，笔者劝你认真考虑后再加入；如果你只依赖英汉词典作为工具，笔者劝你尽快改掉这个不良习惯。如果你甚至没有耐心看完下面的帖，笔者劝你千万千万不要加入ECO Team。

分析：
而且从字面上，Big Bang 本意是The cosmic explosion that marked the origin of the universe according to the big bang theory. 宇宙最初的大爆炸。意指当时1986年伦交所撤消管制的规定震惊世界。这个级别基本上已经最高了，作者就是做个类比，这次的事件媲美或接近1986年的程度。Implosion 是内炸，inward 伴随收缩，作者选词非常到位。
5.Universal banks, such as Citigroup and Bank of America, long dismissed as stodgy, argue that their vast balance sheets and wide range of businesses, from cards to capital markets, give them an edge in trying times.

解释：从语法上讲，我认为本句最难理解的就是那个yet，如果理解了yet 本句就应该没有任何争议了。
牛津英汉上对yet有这样的注解：
used with a modal v; formal if placed immediately after the modal v 与情态动词连用; 若紧接情态动词之後则更文雅) at an indefinite time in the future 不久的将来; 迟早; 早晚: We may win yet. 我们迟早会获胜的. * She may surprise us all yet. 她总有一天会让我们大家感到惊奇. * (fml 文) We can yet reach our destination. 我们终究能达到目的.
12. Ghana, for instance, is often cited as one of the most hopeful cases, but at independence in 1957 it was nearly as well off as South Korea;now, despite its recent bounce, it is still some 30 times poorer in wealth per person.

“And then there were none”，此语源出Mother Goose（鹅妈妈童谣）的Ten little nigger boys went out to dine 的最后一句，原文如下

Mother Goose本为英国民间童谣集，其中不乏恐怖与血腥的诗篇，个人觉得此处标题引用，隐含的惶恐情绪，特别是通读Ten little nigger boys went out to dine会发现有“接二连三”死去的意思，而只译为“投行之死”似乎味道差了些。
另外，知名的推理小说家，拥有”谋杀天后”之称的 Agatha Christie(阿嘉莎.克莉丝蒂)，也曾以这首童谣为背景写出了〝And Then There Were None〞(中译名为《无人生还》)此本小说。

4. 如何才能加入我们？——加入ECO team首先要做的事。
如果你决定了要加入ECO team这个朝气蓬勃，精英辈出的团队，你要在论坛上的专门版面发帖。
为了后台设置的便利，全部的数字都将乘以2，即你翻译一篇文章 ，但是系统统计两篇。
团队新成员的准入资格是：翻译8篇以上TE的文章，或者认真点评分析8篇以上由ECO TEAM成员发表的文章，具体标准由版主决定。达到上述标准，版主方可批准申请人的见习ECO译员资格。
